Re: My gargeband project has disappeared

Open a finder window and enter .band (that's: dot (nospace) band) in the search field.

You should see all saved garageband files appear.

or

Generally saved files appear in the Music > Garageband folder

Else: If the project was not saved before it disappeared it may be gone for good.

Note: It is a good practice to always save any file after making any change to it, ie: saving continually as you go along so your work, and any updates to it. remain secure.

Re: ".... still no sign of the one I want"

Maybe you exported or "shared" the project as a "song" to a different file format ... eg .aif or .m4a etc. ... and it could be in a different folder you chose.

If you remember naming it ... you might try searching for it by name.

Thanks for reply , that did show projects but still no sign of the one I want , I do save all projects , the system prompts you to save anyway . Ive had nothing but trouble with this 18 month old Mac and it all stems from Apple updates . Now my Apple Music won't play since the last update ( for the 2nd time ) Ive tried everything that I searched to put it right , but it doesn't .
