File > New > Folder" creation and usage?
File>New>Folder - in Final Cut Pro what does this create and what can it be used for? I searched the user guide but the only Folder(s) it talked about was during importing media.

Media management inside of FCP; It creates a virtual folder inside of the Event you're working in. You can put collections inside of those folders, and rename folders as you wish. It's just another media management tool. Here it is in the user guide (first returned in a search for "folder').
