“Messages” or installed games not syncing:

On my Hotspot, my iPad Pro, 12.9-inch, 5th generation, Wi-Fi only, early 2008 and my iPhone 16 Pro, I cannot get “Messages” or my Non-Default games to sync. On both devices I checked that the “Low power mode” and “Low data were toggled off”, and they are. On my iPhone’s Messages, it shows “Syncing with iCloud Paused”. What is there left to try?

Since February 2026, I have been using a “Guest WiFi network” at a Hotel that opened for business in early 2026. The Hotel is located ‘high on a hilltop’. When their WiFi connection drops, my iPhone’s “hotspot” automatically connects. The hotel’s WiFi connection’s strength depends on where I’m located when outside, or, if indoors (where the guest Network’s the strongest), it’s sometimes briefly disconnects. When using my default messages app, many times the messages “Failed to Deliver”. I get the options to either “Try again”, or “Try sending as an SMS”, which does not always work. This happens mostly on my iPad, and occasionally on my iPhone. - “Game Center” games are not synching at all. Non-default games are not synching either.

I struggle finding the solution for “Resume synching”. But I have succeeded after either using “Google”, or, after going to many Settings, I have temporarily resolved the messages not synching at times. It is very time consuming and frustrating. I believe I have saved information on “How to…” to my files. Speaking of which I need to delete many old file folders. Still working on cleaning out my old file folders, emails and folders (another time consuming challenge), along with deleting Photos and videos. I am not ‘tech savvy’, all gained knowledge is self taught by searching for solutions and terminology definitions.
