Microsoft 365 subscription won't activate on MacBook Pro

I have a 2014 macbook pro that can only take MacOS 11.7.11. Today, I can no longer access my microsoft office 365 subsciption. It asks me to activate my subscription and I get an "Unknown Error"

Your macOS 11 Big Sur is too old.

MS no longer supports installation of their software on any but the most recent three macOS versions. Today that's macOS 26 Tahoe, macOS 15 Sequoia and macOS 14 Sonoma. Later this year, macOS 27 Golden Gate will join the group and Sonoma will fall off the list.

Unless you want to buy a newer Mac, I suggest you look at alternatives to MS Office product such as LibreOffice for Mac. It's compatible with the MS Office file formats and has a version compatible with your current OS.
