Whether and how far you can update macOS depends on which Mac you have, and its hardware model year.

No Intel-based Mac minis can run Tahoe, so the Mac mini in your tag line must be an Apple-Silicon-based one (M1, M2, M2 Pro, M4, or M4 Pro). All of those are still receiving updates, including macOS 27 this fall, so it is too early to say for certain when macOS support for your Mac mini will end.
