Tahoe, Studio Display and Built-in Camera

I am using a 2021 16" MacBook Pro and am up to date with the OS. I use a Studio display and read about the workaround that in order for the built-in display camera to work, it is necessary to unplug and then reconnect the mac to the display. This still works, but does anyone know if there is a better fix and/or if Apple has any intention of fixing the bug?
