Canon USA – imageCLASS LBP6030w - Compact Laser Printer
Canon's sales page for the printer does not mention Mac compatibility. There are references to the App Store, and Google Play Store, but under "OS Compatibility" they just mention assorted versions of Windows, and Citrix.
Canon Support – imageCLASS LBP6030w
The Canon Support site claims that the printer is compatible with Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia, and Tahoe. There is a driver download with the name "[Mac] UFRII LT Printer Driver Ver.1.5.15 (macOS 10.15.7 - macOS 26.5.2). There are also "User Guide for Mac" downloads on Support site.
So far, I am not seeing any indication - either on Canon's site, or on Apple's - that this printer supports AirPrint. If that is the case, you will be dependent on Canon to continue supplying drivers for future versions of macOS, like this fall's macOS 27 (Golden Gate).

This Canon Community thread seems to confirm that the LP6030w does not support AirPrint.

It should be. There's no real reason to think it won't work.
Most USB printers are perfectly compatible with Mac and macOS hasn't needed any sort of software or drivers to use USB printers in literal decades.
While AirPrint is recommended for was of use and not needing any cables, it has never been a requirement. You can totally use USB printers directly that aren't AirPlay compatible.

For support and longevity, you will want to choose an AirPrint compatible laser or inkjet printer.
If you are set on a Laser Printer, then you need to choose a Canon, Brother or HP model that support AirPrint.
If you are not set on a Laser Printer, then I recommend an Epson Eco-Tank or Brother Tank Inkjet that supports AirPrint.
You absolutely want AirPrint, and you absolutely want TWAIN and ICA if a multifunction printer with scanning.
