Calendar invites won't go away

l've seen multiple posts where people are experiencing an inability to delete a calendar invite. Specifically, one tries to accept/reject a calendar invite but then the invite reappears. I tried suggestions that others mentioned and none worked. The one that worked for me is to go to the actual invite posted on my calendar. Find the email address of the sender and copy it. Go to your inbox and search for the email (most likely it will be in your spam/junk folder). Delete the email. The calendar invite will now disappear. I hope this helps others.
