Cannot move search tab on iPhone 16

If you mean the search tab on any home screen or most apps, like this:

It was moved to the bottom of the screen with iOS 26 and it cannot be moved. If you mean somewhere else, you'll need to be more specific.

Can you clarify what is this "everything" that you have tried, so we don't suggest the same things that haven't worked?

For starters, you can go to Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Safari ➜ Tabs and set it to Top to get the address/ search bar on top of the Safari screen.

If that is not what you are referring to, then please clarify what it is you are trying to change.

What app are you attempting to do so? A previous update in iOS 26 moved the Search Bar by default to the bottom of your screen for all apps, so this way it is easily accessible wherever on the page you are, rather than scrolling back to the top to search.

The only app you can modify this is with Safari, where you can do so in Settings > Apps > Safari > Select Top under Tabs.
