Typeface not seeing fonts, but they load in InDesign

dear all,

Something really weird happened. I use 'Typeface' to orden my fonts (rather than Fontbook) and today, suddenly, Typeface doesn't see most fonts anymore. I spent years (for an hour a day) ordening fonts I gathered over the years in categories: per project, and per era (a.i '1910s, 1920's, 1030's' and so on.

The strange thing is that when I look in 'Library > Fontcollections' all folders are still there, but from the folders, all actual fonts have disappeared. Even stranger is that when I open a project, the non existing fonts load as if nothing's wrong.

But I would be unable to add new fonts to, say, Indesign, because I don't see any previously unloaded fonts.

So I am working on this comic. The font 'Vollkorn' is used for the text balloons.

In Typeface, i have ordered my fonts in projects and era, so I have a folder 'Baby Boom (the name of the comic) in which all fonts I use for the comic used to sit. I'd click 'activate' before working on the comic.

Yet, Typeface does not see the font Vollkorn, and when I try to find it in Finder - it doesn't exist on my computer or on my cloud.

Yet, if I open the comic in Indesign - Vollkorn is loaded.

Does anybody have a clue what could be going on and how to get back my fonts and my precious order, working as it did in Typeface?

thank you!

Martin

So i solved it. Turns out you could restore your collections in typeface (settings / restore from backup) and I had my fonts backed up on a hard drive. Wow. Thanks for the help - i hope that this solution might help others with this problem if they ever have it.
