unable to edit audio levels in iMovie 10.4.4
- create video on iPhone
- airdrop to MacBookAir running 26.5.2
- open video in iMovie 10.4.4 and try to change volume at certain point
- unable to access line that ordinarily appears in the middle of the audio track, where I would drag that down to the bottom, to silence that portion
- Attempt to use Waveform viewer
- enabling waveform viewer check box does in fact show audio below the video clip but only in the left side panel where it is tiny, and unusable. (I believe this is for display but not actually for editing levels, where drag/drop, highlight/delete, etc are required.)
- attempt to use "Detach Audio" but can not find this menu item anywhere (looked 2-3 times)
- attempt to restore iMovie to factory defaults (menu item is grey)
- nothing succeeds
- unable to edit volume level other than mute/unmute which is unacceptable
