For some reason, the Settings/Preferences menu in safari will not show up. I went to the menu bar, but it was not there. I am on MacBook Air M5 on macOS Tahoe 26.5.2. What do I need to do, and why is this happening?

The Safari tool bar sits at the top of the browser window. The Safari toolbar provides quick access to core browsing controls, allowing you to navigate websites, manage tabs, search the web, and share content easily across your Apple devices
Safari bookmarks may be displayed in the Favorites bar. When it is visible, the Favorites bars sits immediately below the Tool bar. You can show or hide the Favorites bar by click the Safari menu View > Show (or Hide) Favorites Bar.
The tabs that indicate open websites are displayed in the tab bar. This sits below the Tool bar and below the Favorites bar if that is visible.
All of these can be customized to some degree.
