MacBook has downgraded Bluetooth audio quality compared to iPhone when using headphones

I also tested it on my Windows laptop and the audio quality on Windows is fine.

I've gone through most of the methods people have provided on the internet and none have worked so far (bluetooth explorer, using terminal commands, resetting headphones etc).

I'm also pretty sure it's not an issue of my headphones' mic being turned on in the background, as I have tried using the microphone and the audio quality becomes MUCH worse than it currently is.

Is there a way to fix this?
