iPhone 15 Pro not syncing with iTunes on Windows 11

why doesn't iphone (15 pro, ios 26.3.2) sync anymore with my win11 (Pro, 25H2) PC itunes (12.13.10.3)? Used to work splendid! after starting sync and entering the code on the iphone the process is stopped with a note, that "iphone can't be synchonized, this the device is not found". followed by the notice "a iphone was found, but can't be identifyed correctly. Please disconnect iphone from the pc and reconnect. Please try again".

Reconnecting doesn't work, even restarting itunes or changing cable.

Funny!: I can manually use win-explorer to transfer fotos from iphone to pc. so drivers are installed and working, like the used cables.

itunes-sync used to work.. some 3-4 weeks ago.

Where's the (known?) bug? in the iphone, ios, itunes, win11,... with explanation, please!?

I'm not so sure, but maybe I found a sollution:

It worked yesterday, the sync took 3h (not quite the speed of USB-c /3.1) I'm used to, but at least I could sync my iphone with the pc/itunes - Iphones is only 1/3 full @ 500GB-memory.

I read somewhere in the interweb, that you should do this in the "device manager": deactivate this Option --> "Windows/the pc isn't able to turn off the device, to save energy".

Maybe its nothing, maybe its coincidence, maybe its the way...

There are several other threads on this problem, but no solutions that I know of ....

I was successfully sync-ing between Win10 and my iPhone 18,

but I migrated to a new machine with Win11

and have not been able to get it to work despite many hours spent trying :-(
