Is there a way to stop Firefox from triggering a Dark Mode version of Finder when saving files in a Private window?

In macOS Big Sur 11.7, using Right Click > Save Image As... to save a file in a normal window in Firefox 152.0.x brings up a standard white/grey Finder window, but attempting to save an image in a Private window brings up a black/grey Finder window which is essentially worthless for sorting files, because there is simply not enough contrast between the grey text and the black background to be legible. Is there any way to fix this so that Private windows in Firefox open a standard white/grey Finder window, either via about:config in Firefox or System Preferences in macOS?

I booted an iMac running macOS 11.7.11 and Firefox 153.0, opened a private window, selected an image, Save Image As... and are not experiencing the phenomenon you describe.

The above screenshot reveals sufficient contrast between fixed grey text and alternating grey / black backgrounds on this particular iMac, which led me to the following suggestions.
