Nor do I, because you're choosing to make problems for yourself. The problem is not your Mac or macOS, it the fact that you seem to be using Canon's Master Setup software to set up the printer when there is absolutely no need for it. It is the Canon software that's asking to use the Keychain, not the printer or your Wi-Fi network.

That printer fully supports AirPrint. Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Then add it as an AirPrint printer.

No need for Canon software, at all.

Assuming your own login is an administrator login as would be common, that prompt is Canon asking for your own login name and password, as the Canon app wants to load itself into protected storage, or make other unspecified changes to protected storage.

That written, I’d remove the Canon add-on app, would use AirPrint, and would then provide your feedback about the issues with the add-on Canon app to Canon.

For most common printing uses, there’s no need to add printer vendor apps for a printer that supports AirPrint.

While Canon printer hardware may or may not be good, I’ve found their apps, website, and documentation lackluster at best.

Is your macOS user name actually "admin" as shown in the screenshot? If not, then that is the problem with authentication. There is already an "admin" group too. Your macOS user name should generally be the same as the name on your home user folder. People should not have "admin" as an actual user name.

You can also go to the "User & Groups" System Settings to see what your long & short user names are. Any macOS user accounts with administrator privileges will show "Admin" next to or beneath the actual user name you need to use to fill out the authentication.

If the Wi-Fi network name and password are not available in Passwords app, they were not saved.

You can check the Wi-Fi router itself for a sticker or its documentation for a known password, or can reset the Wi-Fi router to reset its network name and password.
