There aren’t particular benefits to charging an iPad with a USB charging cable, a USB data cable, or a Thunderbolt cable.

There can be (are) other reasons to use a specific cable, including data transfer speeds and total maximum wattage available among other details, but — for the purposes of charging — an iPad doesn’t draw enough wattage for that choice to matter, and a 60w charging cable — again, for the purposes of charging — will work as well as a Thunderbolt 5 cable.

The iPad and the power supply negotiate the voltage and amperage, while accounting for the limits of the cabling.
An iPad that can get all it wants will not benefit from a yet-higher-spec power supply and a yet-higher-spec cable.
Some of the cable choices here are better for data transfers though, as — for instance — a USB charging cable uses USB 2.0. Slow. Higher-spec USB cables can support much faster transfers.

Doesn't matter. The iPad will charge at the speed that it wants, because it will only draw the current that it needs.
Using higher wattage chargers won't hurt with the iPad, but it also will not help either.

The iPad can use a cable rated to support 240W of USB-C Power Delivery power. If the cable is rated as being safe for carrying 240W, that implies that it should be safe for carrying the much lower amount of power that the iPad will actually try to get from a power supply.
It doesn't mean that the iPad wants to draw 240W and turn itself into a griddle on which to fry eggs ….

And further down into the USB PD arcana in the direction opposite 240W, the oldest and lowest-spec cables are 60W.
”Every USB‑C cable must support at least 3 amps of current and up to 20 volts for up to 60 watts of power according to the USB PD specification.”
This given 60 watts is sufficient for this case, though this also assuming the power supply itself provides the amperage and wattage expected by the iPad.
Yes, different supplies can have different voltages and different amperages offered, and the clients will negotiate for what they need.

don't believe so, the differences between fast and slow charging is handled by the AC charger not the cable itself
