On my MacBook Neo I am unable to move apps I don't use into a new folder without it duplicating. There is a lot of apps I don't use and would like to put these in a folder as I am unable to delete them

All built-in apps cannot be moved. If you want to organize, use an alias. Cmd-opt-drag them to create an alias. Build your organization somewhere other than the main applications folder if you wish to “hide” the other apps.
