Contact name not showing in text on my iPhone 13 desktop only the phone of the sender appears there. As I do not open messages from strangers, I want to know who belongs to the phone number of the message notification on my iphone desktop. I do block messages from non contacts HOWEVER some still get through and they disappear when I open the message app.

If the phone number from which you received an SMS, text message, or iMessage is not saved in your Contacts, the Messages app will display only the phone number rather than a contact name.
