Beats Fit Pro Left Earbud Disconnects Immediately Upon Removal from Case / Battery Drain Issue
Hi everyone,
I’m having a severe issue with my Beats Fit Pro (left earbud) and wanted to check if anyone has found a fix or workaround for this.
The Issue:
- Until this morning, both earbuds were working flawlessly.
- Suddenly, the left earbud stopped working properly.
- When placed inside the charging case, the status LED responds normally (flashes white) for both earbuds, and the iPad/iPhone recognizes the left earbud showing 100% battery level.
- However, as soon as I remove the left earbud from the case and put it in my ear, the Bluetooth connection drops completely.
- If I leave the right earbud in the case and try to connect only using the left earbud, the connection continually disconnects and reconnects rapidly while in the case, and cuts off completely the moment it’s taken out.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:
- Cleaned all charging contacts and pins thoroughly.
- Unpaired the Beats Fit Pro from my Apple ID / Bluetooth settings and restarted my devices.
- Performed a full factory reset (holding the case button for 15+ seconds until red and white LEDs flashed).
- Tested with Auto-Ear Detection turned off.
- Attempted to isolate the left earbud on multiple different Apple devices.
It seems like the left earbud's battery or internal power management unit (BMS) drops voltage instantly under load (when taken out of the case), even though it reports 100% charge while receiving power from the case pins.
Since my warranty period has expired, I’m trying to figure out if there is any software-level recovery method for this known issue before considering hardware replacement options.
Has anyone experienced this exact symptom and managed to recover the earbud via a full discharge/re-calibration cycle or firmware fix?
Thanks in advance for any insights!
