Quick Sampler: Restore previous sample folder structure?

Q Sampler - new versions

Hello Apple Community,

I'm experiencing an issue with Quick Sampler after updating to the latest version.

Previously, Quick Sampler stored samples in a folder structure like this:

/Users/<USERNAME>/Music/Audio Music Apps/Plug-In Settings/Quick Sampler/Banjo/X5DR/
/Users/<USERNAME>/Music/Audio Music Apps/Plug-In Settings/Quick Sampler/Banjo/X5DR/Samples/

This organisation made it easy to keep all samples together with their corresponding Quick Sampler patches.

Since the update, Quick Sampler now stores sample WAV files in a shared location:

/Users/<USERNAME>/Music/Audio Music Apps/Samples/

Is there a way to restore the previous folder structure, where each Quick Sampler patch stores its samples inside its own folder?

The new structure causes several problems:

  • Some Quick Sampler patches can no longer find their sample files reliably.
  • It is much harder to manage samples because many files have generic names such as Snare01.wav, making it difficult to identify which patch they belong to.
  • The previous folder structure was much more organised and portable.

Is there a preference, setting, or migration option that allows Quick Sampler to use the previous storage structure again?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards, Stefano
