Thank you for reaching out. 🤗

According to Apple:

Try these steps if you can't connect to the App Store:

  • Check the system status page — Find out if there’s an outage for a service in your country or region.
  • Make sure that your device is connected to the internet — Use any web browser to connect to any website. If nothing loads, use another device on the same network to see if it can connect to any website.
  • Update your software — Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOSvisionOSmacOStvOSwatchOS or software for your non-Apple device. Then try to connect again.
  • Check the date and time on your device — Make sure that the date and time on your device are set correctly for your time zone. If the date and time are incorrect, update them or turn on the option to set date and time automatically. Get more help with date and time.
    • On your iPhone, iPad or Apple Vision Pro — Open the Settings app. Tap General, then tap Date & Time.
    • On your Mac — From the Apple menu , choose System Settings. Click General, then click Date & Time.
    • On your Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD — Open the Settings app. Click General, then click Date and Time.
  • Try a different network — If you can, try to connect using a different network. If you're able to connect using a different network, contact your network administrator or internet service provider to report the issue.

If you still can't connect — If you've tried all of the above steps and you still can’t connect, try again later. A service outage might have recently started.

Good Luck! 👋🏼😉

Re: "Cannot connect to App Store" ... "why"

There are various possible reasons, and we don't have much info. to go on to pinpoint "why" in your case.

Seems there was an outage quite recently yet that was resolved.

All ok now : Apple - Support - System Status Maybe try again ?

or

You might want to check you have the latest iOS26 version installed on your iPhone via Settings > General > Software Updates (ie: to ensure you have the latest security updates, bug-fixes etc.) Reminder: It is always wise to back-up iPhone before updating iOS version.

If iOS version is already up-to-date:

You might want to try restarting your iPhone (deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update any recent setting changes etc., and often restores order if something is not working as expected.
