I lost my dates and appointments on my calendar. I tried doing the iCloud restore, but my events were tied to my email and not my iCloud. Is there any other way to restore them?
Settings, Apps, Calendar, Caledar Accounts, is the email account there and is Calendar toggled on (green)?
If no then do it
If yes then ensure the calendar is turned on in Calendar app itself
Using local-only data is very risky if you do something to lose it. Your only remedy then is restoring archived backups.
iCloud calendar is free and secure.
Third party apps will never help, snake oul remedies like that are a waste of money.
Last week when I updated my 16 to 25.6.2, my calendar got wiped. It was all local calendar without iCloud backup. I was told today to update to 26.6.2 and that should fix it. Nope. All my information appears to be lost. I have tried using 3rd party software to recover the files but to no avail. Sigh.
