Hi, i’ve bought a korg nu tekt 3 kaoss pad and i am trying to use it through my scarlett 2i2 interface into my imac using Garageband.
I’ve followed online routings and it says because my interface has only 2 inputs not 4 i need a workaround , meaning going through my imac headphone port. I still cannot get audio . How do i configure my imac to allow me to use and record in garageband with kaoss pad please.
Most headphone jacks only have a mono channel for a headset Mic, and it is not very good.
In any case, what you need to do is create an aggregate device to combine the Scarlett with the headset input.

Ok. Thanks. i’ll try this. And no idea it would be so complicated tbh. I had presumed the USB cable provided would allow audio but no . Now it’s a bunch of cables going everywhere and no idea which order tbh. I will try this and hope my mac recognises the Kaoss because i had ent seen it pop up in the audi/midi set up list even when its connected to my imac.
thanks. I sold it. Only have a small budget and couldn’t afford 4i4 and the kaoss so sold the kaoss. Now looking for something cheap hardware that i can just tweak and get a few drones and distortion from
It might be best to bite the bullet and get a Scarlett 4i4.
The USB seems to be just for Midi:
