Following 26.5 update, HomePod Mini can no longer find my radio station.

Following the 26.5 update, my HomePod Mini can no longer find my radio station.

I used to say "Siri, play WCLV" (a Cleveland classical station) and it would respond by saying "playing WCLV from TuneIn", no problems. After the update, it either responds with vaguely related classical music or plays "90.3 HD2 Jazz" (WCLV is actually 90.3 HD1). I've tried a dozen queries like "play WCLV 90.3 HD1", "play WCLV 90.3 from TuneIn", etc. but no luck.

I have the same problem with Siri on my iPhone. Surprisingly, however, "Siri, play WCLV" works just fine on my Mac. Go figure.

My Amazon Echo, on the other hand, has no problems with it and I'm thinking of getting a better one to replace my HomePod.

HomePods don't do radio well at all. It's been at least 8 months since an OS update screwed up Global Player radio stations, and Apple still hasn't fixed the problem, even in the 27 betas.

You're doing the right thing saying "play WCLV with TuneIn". I'm not sure what other radio services HomePod supports ("support" being used in the loosest way of course), it might be worth investigating if there's another than can play WCLV?

(In the meantime, I think I'll just switch to DAB radio).
