Left ReSound Nexia (MFi) hearing aid not playing streaming audio

iOS 26.5.2 on an iPhone 12. It was working before. Using the ReSound App with an MFi Nexia model. Odd thing - found the place where I can select to have sound streamed thru left or right. Both are ON. When I turned the right OFF, it stopped, then started when I clicked it again. Turning the left OFF then ON does not restore the sound. Also, when I turned on the MONO function, the right side went silent, and I had to fiddle around turning the MONO off & on or something, to regain the right channel.

Obviously they are correctly paired, I get sound in the right side & the App says they are connected.

if they both show as connected in the Status pane of Resound Smart-3D app (which Requires the underlying iPhone connection to each device to be solid) that strongly suggests an issue with the hearing device itself.

You should make an appointment with your hearing care specialist.

As your iPhone 12 could be nearly 6 years old, it's worth checking for a weak, aging battery (which can cause connectivity issues.) So...

Does your iPhone 12 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging
