So I found what worked for me and this EXACT problem, after updating to 26.6 this morning. All I did was install from the app store an app I had before but since deleted. That app opened fine so I tried others and they all work now.

Uninstalling one app and reinstalling it solved my problem as well - a massive thanks to 'ureimer' for finding and posting the fix.

I cannot agree more with others that such a massive flaw was allowed to happen is unbelievable - it cost me hours of frustration before I managed to do research and stumbled across this chat. I am sure it is and has been causing millions of hours of frustration across the globe.

I have (or rather, had) this problem on my iPad Air 3rd generation as well, after updating to iPadOS 26.6. The tip to delete a single app and reinstall it from the App Store was the solution for me.

I found a solution for me!

Go to `Settings > Privacy & Security > Background Security Improvements`, then uncheck `Automatically install`, and check again. That's it!

(before I tried multiple things written on internet... that's after this attempt it worked, hope it will for you too!)

I found that removing only the Instagram, the only Meta app I have on the phone,

fixed the problem...

I all of a sudden have the same issue - only non-ios apps are affected. I have an iphone 16 pro with ios 26.6

I found out that when I install a new app from the app store that one works, and all the others as well!

After a while the problem occurs again. I do not know why, or what I did that might have caused it reoccur. Let's see how long it keeps working.

iphone 17e - after upgrade to ios 26.6 - no non-apple apps are starting anymore.

This happens from time to time.

This update broke not one app - it broke hundreds of apps.

Today this gave me very severe troubles being not able to disable very important alarm systems.

Police was involved about wrong alarms -i got serious troubles.

Can't understand why such important updates will not be seriously tested before bringing to app store.

Have bought a quite new iPhone, installed the newest iPhone.

Better had stayed on my old iPone2020 to have more stability.

My phone is largely unusable apart from my browser. Apps show the loading screen and slide down. Clicking the app again just repeats the behavior. This has been happening for the last 12 hours. I updated my phone a few days ago at this point.
