Compromised? Or corrupted? Compromised usually includes malicious activities.
If corrupted, clear the Safari browser cache, remove (remove, don't assume disabling will work) any add-on security apps and add-on VPN apps, disable any Safari browser extensions, and test again.
If you're using some other web browser, which one?
If you believe the website compromised, contact the website maintainer, as a compromised web server is their issue to ponder.
