Apologies, In the past when extending a chosen wallpaper the picture would do more of a fade out to black to fill in the extra space at the top. Now when choosing to extend the wallpaper with the new update, an automatic ai generated is used to fill in what could be there. This is fine on skies, but when used to expand anything with a more defined subject it tends to make more of given objects in the photo. Like when used on a tree it will make a bad extension of it, or with a plate of food make random plates in the generated expansion.

If Zachyy is correct that you are referring to iOS 17 Beta, you signed a Non-Disclosure-Agreement which you agreed to not discuss beta anywhere, which includes here. We can't help you if you're using the Beta. Use the Feedback Assistant you were provided when you became a Beta Tester.

I didn’t update to iOS 27 honestly I barely wanted to go to iOS 26 but thanks for the feedback.

OK. I don't use any extensions when choosing a Wallpaper. I save ALL Wallpaper photos as Wallpaper before I choose the selected photo. Doing this makes any photo I want to use as a Wallpaper has the proper aspect ratio to be used as a wallpaper. So I can't offer any help with what you're describing.

If you feel something is not working as expected for you, you can let Apple know using this link --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Ps: If you'd like me to explain how you can easily save any photo in your library in the correct aspect ratio for a Wallpaper, let me know.
