If Zachyy is correct that you are referring to iOS 17 Beta, you signed a Non-Disclosure-Agreement which you agreed to not discuss beta anywhere, which includes here. We can't help you if you're using the Beta. Use the Feedback Assistant you were provided when you became a Beta Tester.

You are referring to unreleased features in the iOS 27 Beta. Because it is not released yet, it cannot be discussed in public places, such as this community. If you have feedback regarding it, please submit it to Apple via the link below.

OK. I don't use any extensions when choosing a Wallpaper. I save ALL Wallpaper photos as Wallpaper before I choose the selected photo. Doing this makes any photo I want to use as a Wallpaper has the proper aspect ratio to be used as a wallpaper. So I can't offer any help with what you're describing.
