ipad suggested text does not properly detect words

the keyboard doesn't seem to be detecting words when i tap off them, and tap back on. this only happens on this specific writing app, but when i sent them an email, they were unable to reproduce it. this also occurred in a different browser. does anyone have any idea what's causing this??? it's driving me nuts, and i haven't be able to write https://youtu.be/AwgAx1KBjBo
