Problem with iTunes on iPad 10

When I open iTunes on my iPad 10, about 4 blank screens flash across the screen before the main screen appears. When I then search for an artist , I am unable to open any album track list or play any tunes listed at the top of the page.

I have overcome this by deleting and reinstalling the iTunes Store app but the next time I do a search the same thing happens again.

Can anyone suggest why this is happening and what I can do to overcome the problem please?

The IOS is up to date.
