Re: "Apple Card payment invalid after purchase"

Please note: Apple Card is Apple's credit card.

Perhaps you bought an Apple gift card at a store?

Have you asked them about the validity of your purchase.

They are the ones who have your money.

Please be aware that there are Gift card Scams:

For more info, See: About gift card scams - Apple Support

Else: Apple support provides an article online (link below) that explains what to do:. If you can't redeem your Apple Gift Card or App Store & iTunes Gift Card - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"If you see a message when trying to redeem your gift card

Card is not valid

If you see a message that says that your card is not valid:

  1. Make sure that your card is not an Apple Store Gift Card. Apple Store Gift Cards are grey, white, silver or gold. You can’t redeem Apple Store Gift Cards in the App Store or iTunes Store. Find out what to do if you have an Apple Store Gift Card or don’t know what type of gift card you have.
  2. Try entering your redemption code manually. When you redeem a gift card, tap or click “You can also enter your code manually”. Make sure that you enter the redemption code that begins with “X”, not a different number on the card.
  3. Make sure that you enter the correct characters. Some letters and numbers look alike, such as:
  • B and 8
  • D and O
  • E and 3
  • G and 6
  • O and Q
  • O and 0
  • S and 5
  • U and V
  • Z and 2 "

You might need to provide:

  • An image of the full front and back of your card.
  • A sales receipt showing when your card was purchased.
  • The serial number from your card.

Find your serial number

The serial number is not the same thing as the code that begins with “X” that you use to redeem the card. Serial numbers are located on the back of your card. Here are some examples of where you might see the serial number:

Serial number begins with “GCA”

Serial number begins with “PBH”

Serial number begins with “EPY”

Thank you for reaching out. 🤗

You’ll need to contact Apple Support directly for help with invalid gift card codes. They can check the balance and verify the code.

If the card is confirmed invalid and was purchased from Dollar Tree, Apple may guide you to provide proof of purchase so they can investigate or advise you on refund options.

Dollar Tree generally won’t handle refunds for Apple’s digital codes once sold.

Good Luck! 👋🏼😉
