Unable to copy backups from external drive due to aliases
I am trying to copy some of my backups from one external hard drive to another, but some of the files have been changed to aliases, and are therefore unreadable. I believe dropbox had something to do with this. I went to the original folders the aliases are linked to, removed everything from those folders, deleted the original folders, but, famously, you can't modify backup items. So I'm still stuck and unable to copy the backups to my other external drive.
Is there a way to delete the alias folders from the backups? I don't necessarily care about maintaining the integrity of those at this point, I just need them off this drive and onto a different one.
