No. Any liquid damage renders the device unrepairable. The entire phone will have to be replaced.

Though there is no guarantee, you could use a silicone plug in the USB C port. It's still advisable to avoid getting it wet at all, but it may help.

I very rarely plug my phone in at all. I use wireless charging and wireless CarPlay almost exclusively. I keep a silicone plug in the port primarily to keep out dust and grit from carrying it in my pocket.

"Untrustworthy and disappointing?" You got your phone wet with Salt Water, which is highly corrosive. This is on you for being negligent in not taking care to avoid getting any liquid in your phone. iPhone's are splash resistant (under lab controlled conditions), yes, but NOT waterproof and salt water is just about the worst kind of liquid you could subject an iPhone to.

I live in Florida. I go to the beach. But my iPhone NEVER goes near the beach. I don't want to get sand or water anywhere near my phone. Sorry you're angry, but this was completely avoidable. You'll have to pay the deductible to get a replacement phone, which is far less expensive than having to buy a new iPhone. Count your blessings.

Hi, sorry but I’ve got to agree with the others. I live on the beach, Clearwater Beach. I know the risks water presents and purchase AppleCare+ on my personal iPhones. I know that if I get it wet, it’ll be a trip to the Apple Store in Tampa and $99 deductible and with Florida sales tax about $107 out the door. Good luck! 👍

Any water damage can affect the iPhone. Salt water damage is especially harmful.

Liquid damage is considered accidental damage under AppleCare+. You will have to pay a service fee.
