How do I transfer songs from iTunes to iPod

Assuming this is on a Windows PC, connect the iPod tot he computer using a USB cable and it should appear in iTunes to sync with.
Click on the device icon at the top to open the iPod's summary page
and then click on Music on the side bar to select songs, albums or playlists to sync.
