macOS Eject icon says "No drives" when a drive is mounted (macOS 14.8.7).
With a drive mounted (and visible on the desktop, and in the sidebar), the eject icon in the menubar reports: "No Drives". When I right click the drive on the desktop, or click the same eject icon next to the drive in the sidebar, the drive ejects.
I removed the eject icon from the toolbar (command-drag off the toolbar), and reinstalled it by double clicking:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/Eject.menu
… however the behavior did not change.
(It shouldn't matter here (because the drive is (already) mounted, but the drive is encrypted. I have the password to decrypt the drive (so it can be mounted) stored in my Keychain, but, again, that also shouldn't matter because the drive is (already) mounted.)
