iTunes Songs Not Syncing to iPhone 17 Pro

i have songs that are not syncing to my new iPhone 17 Pro. They are grayed out and won’t play, attached is a screenshot of the message I get. I have my phone plugged into my PC. In iTunes, under devices, music, it states “no items”.

I have confirmed that “sync library” is toggled green. I also have confirmed that iTunes and my phones are both logged into the same iCloud account. I’ve also tried suggestions I read on here for editing the song details to force the sync, but that did not work. Song I edited is Der Kommisar.

I’m wondering if I should unsubscribe from Apple Music for the time being to see if that does it.

Please help

Ok, it’s working now. I think this may be something new, maybe not having anything to do with my phone. It’s definitely new to me, but maybe I’m “last to the party”. Posting this reply in case it helps someone else.

By looking at the free space, I believe my phone now has no music stored on it. While in the process of trying to figure out how to sync iTunes to my phone, I found out that iTunes was uploading all my music from my PC, even my ripped cd’s, to my “iCloud Music Library”. I found this out once I had given up and went to close iTunes. It told me to wait as it was uploading everything. Once it finally finished, the music played on my phone. This is actually better and the way it should have always been IMHO.

Again, sorry if I’m late on figuring this out, but I may not be the only one.
