Apple ID verification code not being sent to phone number

If Apple says verification codes cannot be sent to your phone number, your number may be temporarily rate-limited, mistyped, or blocked by carrier short-code restrictions. Tap "Didn't get a code?" on the screen to request a voice call, use another device, or wait 24 hours before trying again.
