Ringtone in music but not in ringtones

When I try to get a ringtone purchased from iTunes it shows up in music but not in ringtones. The option to download all purchased ringtones is not an option when i try to download it into my ringtones.

If a purchased audio file shows up in your Music app rather than your ringtones, you likely bought the full song instead of a 30-second tone from the Tone Store. Full songs cannot be used directly as system ringtones without being manually trimmed and converted.

How to Fix or Set Your Ringtone

  • Verify the Purchase: Open the iTunes Store , tap More > Purchased > Tones to see if a ringtone version is listed separately for download.
  • Use GarageBand: Import the downloaded song from your Music library into GarageBand  on your iPhone, long-press the track, select Share, and export it directly as a Ringtone.
