Do you have other Apple devices, to which the AirPods can connect? If yes, make sure that in the settings for the AirPods the option "When last Connected to This device" is selected as well.

I have the same issue it started like 2-3 weeks ago - it randomly disconnects and reconnects sometimes it takes a while to reconnect or it doesnt reconnect at all when listening to music like spotify sometimes on youtube - I never had this problem before and its happening more in the gym - maybe because i mostly use my airpods int he gym but its getting annoying - i did almost everything suggested already like resets changing settings etc - went to apple store twice already and passed diagnostics - they just reset my phone new right now - lets see how it goes.

Any progress on this? Except the obvious reset stuff that didnt work? Same here with iPhone 17 Pro Max and 2nd gen Airpods Pro.
