Garage Band Crashes! Please help!

I’ve used Garage Band for years on my MacBook Pro and have loved it. But now EVERY TIME I try to open a new project GB crashes. I have updated all the software and OS to the latest versions. I really need to use GB soon for my work as a Choir Director. If anyone can help me, I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
