I checked specifically for the Epson ET-2810 and macOS Tahoe 26.
A -- Epson indicates that macOS Tahoe 26 is supported for compatible products and asks users to manually select macOS 26 on the support page.
B - For the ET-2810, Epson currently offers driver v13.48, dated May 11, 2026, and EPSON Scan 2 v6.7.84.0. (epson.eu)
C - Since the 4294957394 / 9902 error occurs both when printing and scanning, I recommend proceeding in this order, without assuming the cause.
1. Update the Epson software
Open the official page:
D - Under Operating System, explicitly select macOS Tahoe 26.
E - Install: Driver v13.48, EPSON Scan 2 v6.7.84.0, if it is offered for macOS 26, EPSON Software Updater v3.01, which Epson also lists as released in July 2026. (epson.eu)
F - Then restart your Mac.
2. Remove and re-add the ET-2810 in macOS
G - On your Mac >> System Settings >> Printers & Scanners
H - Select the ET-2810 >> Remove Printer.
I - Then select Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax and add the ET-2810 again.
J - Apple recommends this procedure when an existing print queue is causing problems. (support.apple.com)
K - If macOS offers several choices in the Use menu, select the Epson software installed in the previous step when available.
3. If the error persists: reset the printing system
This is a more drastic step: it removes printers, presets, and information about completed print jobs. (support.apple.com)
L - Go to >> System Settings >> Printers & Scanners
M - Hold Control and click in the printer list, then select:
Reset Printing System
N - Add the ET-2810 again afterward. (support.apple.com)
4. For scanning
After reinstalling, test scanning with EPSON Scan 2.
You can also test using Apple's Image Capture application. Epson indicates that ICA scanning can be used with certain Epson devices and macOS. (epson.eu)
Important: I did not find an official definition of error 4294957394 / 9902 in the public Epson documentation I checked. I therefore do not want to attribute a specific cause to this code without evidence.
