Restoring Applications icon on Tahoe 26.5.2

I have an M5 MacBook Air, 15in (2026), running MacOS Tahoe, version 26.5.2.

I was reorganizing my dock and removed the Applications icon--the icon next to the Finder that essentially opens the Applications sections of Spotlight and can be brought up using the four-finger pinch.

How can I restore this icon to the dock?

Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu or its sidebar and drag the Apps item to the Dock.
