Welcome!
...go back through the process of googling it and then finding it on Google and then turning on signing in and losing it, I have to go back to Google like what is going on?
That may well be the problem. Threads here get locked for inactivity or age. However, when you do a web search for questions, search engines do not show the age of threads nor whether they are locked. You can read those and see other responses, but cannot add to a locked thread.
Apple has their reasons for this but have not shared them with us, your fellow end users.
If you wish to help others with your replies, search engines are not conducive to doing so. This is the effective way to help others here:
—Bookmark this forum site map: Site Map - Apple Community
—Choose topic areas where you feel you can best help.
—Use the site map’s topic links to go directly to those topic areas.
—Work the first few pages with the newest posts.
That gives posters the most current information, and they can recognize your contributions with an upvote.
I've been here a very long time and painfully few people return weeks or months later looking for new replies to their questions.
Another tip: posts stay here in perpetuity, but the forum's internal search indexing only "sees" back about three months. If you need to look farther back than three months, then a search engine becomes useful. Paste this site-delimited search string into your favorite search engine:
site:discussions.apple.com “xxxxxxx”
where the "xxxx" can be a username, a topic, a year, as long as it is in quotes.
➡️ If you type that string instead of cutting/pasting, be sure to note that there is NO space between "site:" and "discussions”.
Again, welcome to the Zoo! Glad to see youe desire to help.
