I cannot seem to create a Timer Shortcut that will sound a consistent sound regardless of the how long the time is set for. Using the clock app to select a sound does not produce a consistent sound when the Timer expires.
For instance , setting the timer for 5 minutes may produce the Radial sound, yet setting timer for 8 minutes will produce a different sound.

When you change durations, iOS defaults to the sound assigned to that specific recent/preset slot, causing the sound to vary. To fix this, clear recent timers in the Clock app, set a single default sound using a short manual test, or use a "Wait" action with a sound file inside Shortcuts instead of the native timer.

If you are referring to Recent Timers at the bottom of the Clock panel...?

I did all the steps in fixing native timer. BTW, this is in Mac Sierra, not IOS if that means anything
The problem persists.
I set a Timer in Clock with the preset Radial for 5 sec, then stopped it and picked another Sound in Clock.
This seems to work in Clock but not in Set Timer Shortcut
I am not sure how to use the Wait function with a sound file as you described as an alternative to Set Timer

The clock app has 1 recents when scrolled to the bottom
This is the shortcut where it asks to enter time for the timer, but sound changes on different times that are set.
Sometimes the same sound will play.
I also removed clock preferences thinking that might work.
BTW, I have seen at least 20 Recents in the clock app/ obviously, I removed them all
If you open Shortcuts and search for Start Timer and drag it into a new Shortcut that's it !
You never have to open Clock
Click the shortcut and it will ask for the Time you want in the timer and then it will go off in the designated time.
My issue is that I want the sound to always be the same.

One thing that might help when you are creating multiple Timers.
Is to expand the Clock window out from its default size, so that you can see all of the newly created Timers.
I only want 1 timer and a sound to go with it that would work with the Shortcut I posted.
Despite deleting all the Recents from Clock, I still get varied sounds.
Sorry, but I do not understanding how you are activating the Shortcut in your screenshot.
That shortcut is not available for me to test, because I do not have or use an Apple keyboard.
