i am trying to create ringtones with my songs that I have in my library.
i have tried the GarageBand app with little understanding and difficult to use.
The first problem is, it will not change to portrait, it stays in landscape.
The only feature I see for creating your ringtones are the sounds (drums, guitars, etc) in which you would use.
any chance of assistance? Thank you

GarageBand on iPhone normally works in landscape, so that part isn’t a problem.
The instruments screen is also normal. You don’t need to create the ringtone with those instruments. The easiest way is to touch and hold the GarageBand icon on your Home Screen and choose Create New Audio Recording. Then tap Tracks, tap the Loops Browser button, and choose Music to find the song you want.
The song has to be downloaded to the iPhone. If it appears dimmed in GarageBand, it’s either not downloaded or it’s protected and can’t be used as a ringtone.

I will try your suggestions. Can you tell me why I can not close the page. The only way I am able to go to my Home Screen is if I turn the phone off and on again.
If you mean getting out of GarageBand and back to the Home Screen, swipe up from the very bottom edge of the screen—you shouldn’t need to restart the iPhone.
