Hi, i just got a brand new magic keyboard, and none of the function keys work. i set up the keyboard as requested by the setup process.

i'm on an imac 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, running latest version of ventura 13.7.8
The Magic Keyboard with the USB-C port requires macOS Sequoia or later. It won't work properly with macOS Ventura.
If you cannot upgrade your iMac to macOS Sequoia, return the keyboard and try to find a Magic Keyboard with the Lightning port. This model will be compatible with macOS Ventura.

for that, make sure Full Keyboard Access is turned OFF in your accessibility settings
ok, i just got a Fire-Wire 2.0.6 keyboard and it has the same exact problems
none of the top-row keys function (ie: brightness control, window minimizing, speaker volume).
What is a Fire-Wire 2.0.6 keyboard?
Are you still running Ventura from 4 years ago?
