ios 26.6 overheating and network/signal issues on iPhone 13 Pro

Check your battery health, too. 80% or lower is headed for a replacement.

Settings > Battery > Battery Health

An iPhone 13 Pro that’s having issues and getting warm can be caused by a failing battery, too.

Your battery being depleted is due to your network/signal issues.

If the link doesn't help, then contact your cellular data provider or look at their help site.

Heat will be produced by:

• Indexing for about 4 days after any OS update
• Low or no cell signal will dramatically increase power usage needed to attempt to connect with a distant tower. Worst case scenario is when searching for a tower.
• Background processes. Turning off Background App Refresh does not stop background activity of an app, that has a completely different purpose to update the UI in the background which has little effect on battery draining/heat.
• Failing battery. If Battery Health is below 80%, it needs to be replaced.
• Obviously any processor intensive game/app.

When was the last time that you replaced the battery in the iPhone 13 Pro?

If you tap Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging, what reading do you see for Maximum Capacity?
