iPadOS Files shows upload error icon for Pages documents saved to iCloud

Hi all,

Using iPadOS 26.6 and Pages. Saving a file in the iCloud causes "upload error" icon in Files, but it appears the files are still properly uploaded. Network connection is fine, no interruptions. Error does not show on iPhone nor on Mac. I have been ignoring this without any consequences thus far, but it's an annoyance. Any suggestions?

TIA

iPad Pro, iPadOS 26

This phantom upload error on iPadOS is typically caused by a localized metadata or cache desynchronization in the iPad's Files app, where the daemon responsible for tracking upload states fails to clear a transient flag even though the actual document transmission via Pages succeeded.

Try to force restart the files app to see if the issues persist

Swipe up from the bottom of your iPad screen, pause in the middle, then swipe up on the Files app preview card to close it completely.
