Music app update hides total time of selected songs in playlist

Before updating to Tahoe 26.6, I could see the Time length of songs highlighted within a Playlist.

This info would appear on the bottom of the playlist: how many songs selected and the amount of time.

Now that the bar (showing what song is playing) has been moved from the top of the page, to the bottom,

it hides this information!

As a Dance Fitness Instructor, I will often add more music than I need for flexibility in the class, by highlighting only certain songs I could see the amount of time for the selected songs.

I hope Apple puts the bar back on top and hopefully this info will still appear on the bottom of the page.

If there is another way to see it, I'm all ears!

Go to the Music > View menu and make sure you have enable Show Status Bar ( or press ⌘/ ).

Now select your songs in the playlist and then scroll the playlist up just a smidge.

The Status Bar will unhide itself at the top of the window.

If I only want to see a particular selection from the Playlist, it no longer shows that.
I followed the steps...still not showing the total time, and number, of Selected songs with-in a playlist....but thanks

The number of selected songs in the playlist and their total playtime is exactly what is seen in the screenshot I posted. ❝4 of 26 songs, 14 minutes...❞

This is in the Music app under Tahoe 26.6.1.

As I forgot to mention it, I will add that if the entirety of your playlist fits within the vertical boundaries of the Music window displayed on your screen, then the status bar may not reveal itself. Try resizing the Music window a bit shorter so the whole playlist does not fit. Then when you scroll the playlist, the status bar should unhide there at the top.

Yes, inconvenient, and an apparent bug, but it works.
